The Darkglass Microtubes 900 v2 bass head delivers unapologetically loud performance with the signature Microtubes Engine for everything from natural harmonic enhancement to aggressive modern distortion. Built for the professional bassist, it combines studio-grade compression, impulse response cabinet emulation, and comprehensive routing for stage, studio, and silent practice workflows.
Features
The Microtubes Engine can be engaged or bypassed and includes Drive, Level, Blend, and a Tone control that shapes high harmonic content via a variable low pass filter. A B3K and VMT voicing switch lets you choose between an aggressive, percussive drive character or a warmer, mid-forward voice. An intelligent compressor is integrated into the Microtubes section with automatic make-up gain, and a studio-grade 6-band graphic EQ provides precise shaping across bass, mid, and treble ranges.
For direct and silent setups, the cab sim section includes three selectable impulse responses plus a clean DI option via the Cab Select switch, with memory for three IRs and deeper configuration through Darkglass Suite software over USB. Connectivity includes aux in and headphone output for practice, pre and post DI outputs, four effects loops, and external control via Darkglass IFS or SIFS footswitches or third-party MIDI control. A Speakon combo speaker output supports Speakon or quarter inch speaker cables.
