Shaped by decades of Fender design and updated for current performers, the Fender American Professional Jazz Electric Bassjoins an alder body with a maple neck and maple fretboard. Its 34" (864 mm) scale, Slim "C" profile and 20 narrow tall frets support a familiar, controlled feel, while the model-specific electronics and hardware are designed to deliver the punch, clarity and definition associated with a Jazz Bass. The result is a versatile American-made instrument intended for regular rehearsal, recording and live use.

Features

Fender's neck treatment combines a Slim "C" maple neck with rolled fretboard edges and Fender's satin urethane treatment on the back. The sculpted neck heel improves access toward the upper frets, while the 9.5" (241 mm) radius, 20 narrow tall frets and bone nut give the instrument a consistent, performance-minded playing surface.

For tonal range, two V-Mod III single-coil Jazz Bass pickups. Separate pickup volume controls and a master tone make it easy to blend their articulate, punchy voices for different playing styles.

The bridge and control hardware add another layer of refinement: a 4-saddle HiMass Pro bridge with string-through-body or top-load options, plus Fender lightweight vintage-style tuning keys with tapered shafts.
