Fender American Professional Jazz V 5 String Electric Bass w/Case

Classic Fender character updated with dual V-Mod III Jazz Bass single-coils, a Slim "C" neck and 5-saddle HiMass Pro bridge, an alder body and a rosewood fretboard

Aimed squarely at working musicians, the Fender American Professional Jazz V 5 String Electric Basscombines an alder body with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard. Its 34" (864 mm) scale, Slim "C" profile and 20 narrow tall frets support a familiar, controlled feel, while the model-specific electronics and hardware are designed to deliver extended five-string range with Jazz Bass punch, clarity and note definition. The result is a versatile American-made instrument intended for regular rehearsal, recording and live use.

Features

The neck design uses a Slim "C" maple neck with rolled fretboard edges and Fender's satin urethane treatment on the back. The sculpted neck heel improves access toward the upper frets, while the 9.5" (241 mm) radius, 20 narrow tall frets and bone nut give the instrument a consistent, performance-minded playing surface.

Electronics are built around two V-Mod III single-coil Jazz Bass pickups voiced for the five-string format. Independent pickup volumes and a master tone provide familiar Jazz Bass blending with extended low-range capability.

Setup flexibility comes from a 5-saddle HiMass Pro bridge that supports either string-through-body or top-load stringing, along with Fender lightweight vintage-style tuning keys with tapered shafts.

ClassicGear Precision potentiometers add a controlled feel with consistent resistance and a musical taper. A Deluxe Molded Case from Fender is supplied with the instrument.
