The Fishman Platinum Pro EQ Universal Instrument Preamp and DI is designed to give acoustic musicians detailed tone shaping, high-headroom performance and practical stage control in one rugged pedal. Its discrete Class-A analog preamp provides clean, low-distortion amplification, while the comprehensive EQ, compressor, feedback tools and balanced DI output make it suitable for guitar, bass and other amplified acoustic instruments in live and recording environments.
Features
The 17-volt high-headroom Class-A preamp is built for accurate, low-distortion signal handling, helping preserve the natural character and dynamics of the connected instrument. Its all-analog signal path is designed for players who want detailed control without sacrificing clarity.
A five-band EQ provides broad tonal adjustment, including a sweepable midrange section and adjustable low-cut filter. Switchable Guitar and Bass EQ modes tailor the frequency response for different instruments, giving the Platinum Pro EQ greater flexibility across acoustic guitar, bass and other pickup-equipped instruments.
Feedback control includes a sweepable notch filter and phase invert switch, allowing troublesome frequencies to be addressed quickly on stage. The one-knob soft-knee compressor helps smooth playing dynamics without making adjustment unnecessarily complicated.
An integrated fully chromatic digital tuner provides convenient onstage tuning, while the dedicated Boost footswitch can add up to 12 dB of adjustable level for solos, lead passages or other moments that require additional presence.
The balanced XLR DI output includes pre/post EQ selection and a ground lift for flexible connection to mixers, recording systems and PA equipment. A post-EQ effects loop is also provided through separate 1/4 inch send and return connections, allowing external processing to be integrated directly into the signal path.
