Keeley RK2000 Funk Siren Delay
Effects Pedal
Vintage DM2000 inspired delay and phrase looping with dramatic modulation and modern performance control
The Keeley RK2000 Funk Siren Delay Effects Pedal brings the legendary delay-based looping sound associated with Trey Anastasio's longtime DM2000 rack unit into a modern pedal format. Designed as the first pedal recreation of that classic system, the RK2000 captures the signature Funk Siren technique while adding practical updates like stereo operation, tap tempo, MIDI, onboard presets, and expanded control options for today's players.
Signature Funk Siren delay and looping response
At the heart of the RK2000 is a 1023 ms delay that can move from traditional delay sounds into phrase looping with infinite repeat. Its Hold mode lets players capture delay-like loops and layer new parts on top, while switching in and out of Hold mode creates the intense stacked textures that define the Funk Siren style. This makes the RK2000 equally useful as a delay pedal or as a phrase looper built around a very specific and expressive workflow.
Distinctive 12-bit character with dramatic modulation
The RK2000 uses a 12-bit delay design along with carefully modeled supporting analog circuitry to capture the unique voice of the original DM2000. Its modulation is especially dramatic, spanning four octaves and extending nearly 44 seconds, giving the pedal a sweeping, tape-machine-like instability that can range from subtle movement to extreme pitch and texture effects.
Built for modern rigs and expanded control
Keeley designed the RK2000 with modern performance needs in mind, adding stereo capability, tap tempo, full MIDI implementation, expression pedal mapping, remote Mod and Hold control, and five onboard presets. That flexibility allows the pedal to cover much more than just one signature sound, making it useful as a chorus, flanger, doubler, slapback delay, saturated tape echo, or phrase-based looping tool.
Why choose the Keeley RK2000 Funk Siren Delay
This pedal is an excellent choice for players who want more than a standard delay. Its combination of vintage-inspired 12-bit character, signature looping behavior, extreme modulation range, and modern connectivity makes it a compelling option for guitarists who want a highly expressive delay platform with both historical inspiration and practical current-day control.
