OVERVIEW

Epiphone and the Gibson Custom Shop are at it again, collaborating to bring us the Inspired by Gibson Custom 1963 Firebird I.

This new guitar is a faithful reproduction of the iconic design by the legendary car designer Ray Dietrich. When it first hit the scene in 1963, the Firebird shook things up with its unique neck-through-body construction. From blues great Johnny Winter to rock legends like Keith Richards and Eric Clapton, this guitar has been used by a diverse range of musicians. Now, the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom 1963 Firebird I offers vintage specs at an affordable price, including a 9-ply mahogany and walnut neck-through-body, with mahogany wings on either side. The headstock features Kluson® planetary geared “banjo” tuners, while the Wraparound Lightning Bar bridge provides killer sustain.

Sticking to the classic stripped-down design of the original, this guitar comes equipped with premium electronics,
