The remastered X Series is designed for optimal playability.

The GPC-X2E acoustic-electric guitar boasts a hand-rubbed satin wood top and striking high-pressure laminate (HPL) patterns on the back and sides - either cocobolo with a spruce top or ziricote with a sapele top for durability and visual appeal while still maintaining the iconic Martin sound. Improvements in playability include a slimmer fingerboard with a gently beveled edge and adjusted string spacing, as well as a modernized bridge design for a seamless and comfortable playing experience.

The Grand Performance body size offers a well-balanced and projecting tone with increased bass, and the cutaway design allows for easy access to higher frets.

Additionally, the GPC-X2E features an elegant abalone rosette, select hardwood neck, fingerboard, and bridge, as well as Martin E-1 electronics with a built-in chromatic tuner, volume, tone, and phase controls,
