The S2 Vela Semi-Hollow Satin is a guitar that draws inspiration from vintage aesthetics while offering a wealth of personality and tonal diversity.

It features a modern offset body shape, and the incorporation of a semi-hollow design along with a satin nitro finish enhances the Vela's character and resonance, resulting in an exceptionally engaging playing experience. Equipped with a pickguard that houses its electronics, the Vela includes a PRS DS-01 pickup positioned at the treble, delivering a bright and edgy tone. Meanwhile, the PRS-Designed Type-D single-coil in the bass position adds a distinctive bite to the sound. The tone control's coil-tap function allows the treble pickup to switch to single-coil mode, producing a well-rounded tone that effectively stands out in any mix. The guitar is anchored by a PRS plate-style bridge featuring two saddles designed for intonation compensation. This bridge pays homage to Paul Reed Smith's early designs and traditional bass plate-style bridges, while its top-loading feature facilitates easy string changes.

Similar to the bridge found on Paul’s Guitar and select Private Stock models, the PRS plate-style bridge is constructed with brass saddles and an aluminum plate, ensuring optimal tonal sustain.
