A solid spruce top pairs with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides for strong bass, clear trebles and rich harmonic overtones, while Forward-Shifted X bracing with Golden Era scalloped spruce braces gives the guitar an open, responsive voice with excellent sustain. Elegant abalone detailing, a genuine mahogany neck and premium ebony components complete a Dreadnought built for serious performance, recording and acoustic playing.

The solid spruce top provides excellent headroom, clarity and dynamic range, while solid East Indian rosewood back and sides contribute deep bass, sparkling highs and complex overtones. The full-size D-14 Fret Dreadnought body delivers the volume and projection associated with Martin's most iconic acoustic shape.

Forward-Shifted X bracing uses Golden Era scalloped 5/16 inch spruce braces to help the top respond freely. This vintage-inspired bracing contributes to the D-41's open character, strong sustain and expressive response across a wide range of playing dynamics.

The genuine mahogany neck features Martin's Golden Era Modified Low Oval profile with a High-Performance Taper. A 25.4 inch scale and 1-3/4 inch nut width provide comfortable spacing for strumming, flatpicking and detailed acoustic work, while the satin neck finish offers a smooth playing feel.

The D-41 is distinguished by elegant abalone appointments, including abalone with multi-stripe top inlay, an abalone multi-stripe rosette and Reduced Hexagon abalone fretboard inlays. Antique white binding surrounds the body and ebony fretboard, while additional multi-stripe detailing enhances the traditional Style 41 presentation.

The ebony Golden Era Modern Belly bridge is fitted with a compensated bone saddle and bone bridge pins with abalone dots. A bone nut, East Indian rosewood headplate and gold open-gear tuning machines with butterbean knobs complete the premium hardware package.
