The Martin HD-35 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar w/Molded Hardshell Case combines the bold projection of a full-size Martin Dreadnought with the distinctive construction and refined appointments that set the HD-35 apart. A solid spruce top is paired with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, including the model's signature three-piece back, for resonant bass, clear trebles and rich harmonic overtones. Forward-shifted Golden Era scalloped 1/4 inch bracing gives the top a lively, dynamic response, while the updated neck profile and satin finish provide smooth, comfortable playability.

Features

The solid spruce top delivers strong projection, clarity and dynamic range, while solid East Indian rosewood back and sides contribute deep bass, sparkling highs and complex overtones. The HD-35's distinctive three-piece rosewood back is a defining feature of the model and complements its powerful Dreadnought voice.

Forward-Shifted X bracing uses Golden Era scalloped spruce braces measuring 1/4 inch. This lighter bracing allows the soundboard to respond freely, helping produce the HD-35's strong bass response, enhanced projection and expressive dynamic character.

The select hardwood neck features Martin's Golden Era Modified Low Oval profile with a High-Performance Taper. A 25.4 inch scale and 1-3/4 inch nut width provide comfortable spacing for strumming, flatpicking and detailed acoustic work, while the satin neck finish promotes a smooth feel in the fretting hand.

Traditional HD styling includes bold herringbone top inlay, antique white binding, a faux tortoise pickguard and Style 28 multi-stripe rosette. The bound ebony fretboard is appointed with Style 28 mother-of-pearl inlays, while the East Indian rosewood headplate carries Martin's Old Style script logo.

An ebony Golden Era Modern Belly bridge is fitted with a compensated bone saddle and bone bridge pins with faux tortoise dots. A bone nut and chrome enclosed-gear tuning machines complete the premium hardware package.

The HD-35 comes pre-strung with Martin Authentic Acoustic Lifespan 2.0 Phosphor Bronze Medium strings and includes a Martin Molded Hardshell Case with a form-fitted plush interior and durable molded exterior.
