PRS Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition Guitars

John Mayer, PRS and Defender

The PRS Silver Sky Defender collection combines the familiar sound and feel of John Mayer’s Silver Sky with colours inspired by classic and contemporary Defender vehicles. USA-made models feature Arles Blue, Willow Green, Portofino Red and Sandglow Yellow with matching painted headstocks, custom numbered neck plates and Defender-badged ATA cases. SE models feature Petra Copper, Sedona Red, Carpathian Grey and Woolstone Green with black pickguards, custom neck plates and exclusive PRS/Defender gig bags.

USA Silver Sky Defender

The USA model uses an alder body, maple 635 JM-R neck, 7.25-inch rosewood board, 22 frets and 25.5-inch scale. Three PRS 635JM single-coils provide warm vintage-inspired tone through volume, dual tone controls and a 5-way switch. A PRS Steel Tremolo, bone nut and vintage-style locking tuners complete the hardware package. Production is limited to 500 guitars per colour.

SE Silver Sky Defender

The SE version pairs a poplar body with a maple 635JM neck, 8.5-inch rosewood board, 22 frets and 25.5-inch scale. Three 635JM “S” pickups, a 5-way selector, 2-point steel tremolo, synthetic bone nut and vintage-style tuners deliver the established SE Silver Sky playing experience.
