Taylor 217e-BLK Plus Grand Pacific
Acoustic Electric in Black w/AeroCase
Round-shoulder Grand Pacific acoustic electric with torrefied spruce, layered maple, C-Class bracing and an all-black gloss finish
The Taylor 217e-BLK Plus Grand Pacific Acoustic Electric in Black w/AeroCase brings the warm, neo-vintage character of Taylor's Grand Pacific body shape to the 200 Series. A solid torrefied Sitka spruce top is paired with layered maple back and sides for bold projection, warmth and clarity, while C-Class bracing with Relief Rout helps produce strong volume, sustain and low-end power. Its comfortable Taylor neck, full gloss all-black finish and Expression System 2 electronics make the 217e-BLK Plus a distinctive and versatile instrument for home, studio and stage use.
Features
The solid torrefied Sitka spruce top undergoes Taylor's roasting process to add warmth, depth and a more seasoned tonal character while retaining the projection and clarity associated with spruce. Layered maple back and sides provide durable construction and complement the responsive soundboard with a clear, focused foundation.
Taylor's Grand Pacific body is a round-shoulder design created for a warm, blended acoustic voice with strong low-end power and a smooth, seasoned character. Its full-size proportions provide plenty of volume for strumming, flatpicking and vocal accompaniment.
C-Class bracing with Relief Rout works with the torrefied top to enhance volume, sustain and responsiveness. The result is a powerful acoustic voice with a warm, played-in quality and the clarity needed for a wide range of musical styles.
The Hard Rock maple neck features Taylor's Standard Carve profile and a 25-1/2 inch scale for a familiar, comfortable playing feel. A West African Crelicam ebony fretboard and 1-11/16 inch nut width support smooth fretting and approachable string spacing.
Taylor Expression System 2 electronics provide clear, natural amplified tone using a behind-the-saddle pickup design, making the 217e-BLK Plus ready for connection to an acoustic amplifier, PA system or recording setup.
The full gloss all-black finish gives this model a bold appearance, complemented by white body binding, a single-ring faux pearl rosette and faux pearl dot fretboard inlays. A durable Taylor AeroCase is included for secure storage and transportation.
