Fender American Professional Precision Electric Bass w/Case
Classic Fender character updated with a V-Mod III split-coil Precision Bass pickup, Modified 1963 "C" neck and HiMass Pro bridge, an alder body and a maple fretboard
Aimed squarely at working musicians, the Fender American Professional Precision Electric Bassbuilds around an alder body with a maple neck and maple fretboard. Its 34" (864 mm) scale, Modified 1963 "C" profile and 20 narrow tall frets support a familiar, controlled feel, while the model-specific electronics and hardware are designed to deliver the punch and growl associated with a Precision Bass, with added articulation. The result is a versatile American-made instrument intended for regular rehearsal, recording and live use.
Features
Comfort comes from a Modified 1963 "C" maple neck with rolled fretboard edges and Fender's satin urethane treatment on the back. The sculpted neck heel improves access toward the upper frets, while the 9.5" (241 mm) radius, 20 narrow tall frets and bone nut give the instrument a consistent, performance-minded playing surface.
Electronics are built around a V-Mod III split single-coil Precision Bass pickup. It is designed for the punch and growl associated with the P Bass sound while providing increased articulation, with master volume and master tone keeping control direct.
Its bridge and tuning hardware are specified for regular professional use: a 4-saddle HiMass Pro bridge that can be strung through the body or top-loaded. The design supports solid sustain and flexible setup, paired with Fender lightweight vintage-style tuners with tapered shafts.
The source build also specifies ClassicGear Precision potentiometers, designed for smooth, repeatable control response. An included Fender Deluxe Molded Case completes the package for travel and storage.
