This full-wave rectifier uses a directly heated 5-volt filament and an octal-style base. Under typical load it produces the gentle voltage drop that gives notes a responsive sense of give, making it well suited to amplifiers designed around vintage rectifier behaviour. Because the glass envelope is approximately five to five-and-a-half inches tall, available chassis-to-cabinet clearance should be confirmed before installation.
