At the heart of the pedal is the streamlined extended pedalboard. Its longer playing surface and transitional ball-plate design provide additional foot reach, enabling faster double strokes, improved control, and higher velocity through each motion. This makes the pedal especially responsive for modern, high-speed playing while maintaining consistent feel across both pedals.
The Mono Post Frame with a newly designed bearing holder features a uniquely angular shape that allows closer pedal pairings and increased reach at the heel during each stroke. This design enhances ergonomics while preserving strength and durability for demanding performance situations.
Customization is central to the P-2502CX. The interchangeable cam system includes four drive cams, allowing players to fine-tune pedal response and feel. Pearl’s Powershifter system further expands adjustability with three leverage positions that instantly change the drive angle for a light, regular, or strong playing feel.
Independent angle adjustment is handled by Pearl’s Uni-Lock system, which allows the beater angle and footboard angle to be adjusted separately for precise setup. The weight-controllable Quad Beater features a control core elastomer center and removable weights, delivering adjustable power, speed, and balance to suit individual preferences.
Stability is ensured through a non-slip rubber base with Velcro, a self-adjusting swing-action hoop clamp that securely grips the bass drum while reducing hoop deformation, and a heel spike that anchors the pedal firmly to the floor. The slave pedal is equipped with a dedicated spike plate and stabilizer to prevent movement during play, providing consistent performance across both pedals.
A redesigned noise-free spring bracket eliminates unwanted mechanical noise while improving smoothness. The upgraded Zero-Play hinge with four internal ball bearings delivers exceptionally smooth, durable, and wobble-free action for long-term reliability and consistent response.
