Powered by Positive Grid’s Amp Intelligence sound engine, REACTOR can build guitar tones from text prompts, photos and recordings, letting you create complete signal chains quickly instead of searching endlessly through presets. REACTOR 50 is built around Positive Grid’s Amp Intelligence engine, which uses analysis of over 200 amp designs, more than 1,000 circuit parameters and over 1 million tones to generate dynamic, responsive guitar sounds. Instead of only starting from a fixed preset list, you can describe the sound you want, use an image as inspiration or capture a tone from audio, and REACTOR builds an amp-and-effects setup from that input.

The REACTOR app expands the amp far beyond the front panel. It includes 24 factory amp models, 27 effects and deep editing for gain structure, EQ, bias and voicing, along with preset management and ToneCloud sharing. Each preset can include one amp model, up to eight effects, and an FX loop in the signal chain, giving players a flexible way to build practical rigs for songs, sessions and different playing styles.

The hardware is designed to feel like a real amp, not just an app speaker. REACTOR 50 uses a custom 12 inch speaker and a wood cabinet, with selectable 50W, 25W and 1W power modes so the amp can keep a full, present sound at different volume levels. Top-panel controls give quick access to amp categories, Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, Master, FX level and dedicated effect buttons, while Push/Smooth and Heat controls let you change feel, harmonic response and lead/rhythm character without completely rebuilding the tone.

For modern setups, REACTOR 50 includes the connectivity players expect from a serious amplifier. USB audio supports direct recording to macOS or Windows at 24-bit / 48 kHz, Bluetooth 5.0 handles wireless audio playback, and the rear panel includes headphone output, line output with cab simulation, MIDI input, FX loop, Power Amp input and REACTOR Control input. The optional REACTOR Control footswitch adds hands-free control for presets and effects when you want to take the amp on stage.
