A torrefied Sitka spruce top adds warm, played-in character, while layered Indian rosewood back and sides contribute clarity, depth and balanced response. C-Class bracing enhances projection and sustain, and Taylor ES2 electronics provide natural amplified tone for stage and recording use. The torrefied Sitka spruce top provides a warm, responsive character with some of the openness associated with a well-played acoustic. Paired with layered Indian rosewood back and sides, the 214ce DLX delivers a clear and versatile voice with strong definition across the register for strumming, fingerstyle and vocal accompaniment.

Taylor’s C-Class bracing helps increase projection, sustain and low-end presence while maintaining balanced response across the fretboard. The Grand Auditorium body shape adds exceptional versatility, giving the guitar enough power for rhythm playing while remaining articulate and controlled for more detailed fingerstyle work.

A slender mahogany neck with satin finish provides the easy, comfortable feel associated with Taylor guitars. The 1 11/16 inch nut width offers a relaxed fretting-hand experience, while the West African Crelicam ebony fretboard provides a smooth playing surface and clear note response.
