USED SPECIAL! Fender 1973 Jazz Electric Bass in 3-Color Sunburst w/Case

Used vintage 1973 Jazz Bass with maple neck, dual single-coil pickups, original case and high-end aftermarket hardware upgrades

This Fender 1973 Jazz Electric Bass is a vintage CBS-era Fender bass with the punch, clarity and unmistakable feel that made the Jazz Bass a studio and stage standard. This used item has been fully tested and inspected to ensure reliable, enjoyable performance, making it a smart way to add a true vintage Fender bass to your collection. This instrument has been modified with an aftermarket Badass II bridge and aftermarket straplocks, upgrades inspired by the style and performance-focused setup associated with mods of other established players like Geddy Lee for example. With its bound maple fretboard, black block inlays, dual Jazz Bass single-coil pickups and original case, this 1973 Jazz Bass offers vintage character with player-minded hardware changes.

Features

This 1973 Jazz Bass captures the feel and response of a classic Fender offset bass design. Its 34 inch scale length, slim Jazz Bass nut width and balanced body shape give it the comfortable playing feel that has made the model a favourite for rock, funk, soul, blues, fusion and session work.

The maple neck features a bound maple fretboard with black block position markers, giving the bass a distinctive 1970s Fender look and feel. A 7.25 inch radius and vintage-style fret layout provide a familiar period-correct playing surface with smooth response for fingerstyle, pick playing and melodic bass lines.

Dual Fender Jazz Bass single-coil pickups deliver the classic two-pickup voice players expect from the model. The bridge pickup offers focus and bite, the neck pickup adds roundness and depth, and the traditional two-volume, master tone control layout makes it easy to blend sounds for a wide range of musical styles.

The aftermarket Badass II bridge is an important player upgrade and replaces the original-style bridge. This high-mass bridge change, along with the aftermarket straplocks, gives the bass a performance-oriented setup inspired by players such as Geddy Lee's mods while still retaining the vintage Fender foundation. The included original case adds collectibility and practical protection for storage and transport.
